A new fall nail polish that I’m in LOVE with… It’s AMAZEBALLS! And you won’t believe wear it’s from!… N.Y.C. Fall color collection. You heard me, the cheapest nail polish on the planet. I’ve gotten so many compliments on this shade of brown! Brownstone #207 $1.99 at any CVS drug store (yes honey, I’m wearing 2 dollar drug store nail polish… Because the shade is that awesome. No shame! Ps. Excuse the little specks on my skin… I got to anxious to share and didn’t even clean up the mess)

Its beginning to look a lot like…Autumn

Happy Fall y’all, I actually woke up cold this morning!. As much as I love the summer and maintaining my olive complexion, I’ve been waiting on Autumns debut. I’m super excited to decorate my house with smelly cinnamon and pumpkin candles, Carving pumpkins, attending festivals, baking, and rocking the latest sweater weather fashions are key to this season for me. Being in this crazy city, there’s something I’ve noticed that somehow brings me back home.. how quiet it is early in the morning. Nothing like sitting on the fire escape drinking a cup of coffee at 7 am and it be super quiet.Or simply taking a stroll down the Upper West Side…ahh the Upper West Side. My first home. I leave the madness for the subway station up the street..especially at that hour. I don’t really see this as a time of preparing for the season to follow autumn..winter..NYCs least enjoyable weather. You know, when your fingers become frost bitten after two blocks, and it snows at least 3 times a week. I tend to see this as a time of goal setting. Creating new goals and ideas for myself…even the simple ones. Sounds like a new years resolution right? sorta. I mean the things like, spending more time with your loved ones and embracing this time with family and/or your new family for all of my new weds out there. Or going with your gut on which type of soup to have for dinner if your like me and learning how to cook. Maybe actually starting that book that you’ve been eyeballing on your shelf for the past 6 months. Taking this season to remove the negativity that is holding you back from living life on the edge and to the fullest. That’s what I love most about this city. It allows me to see things for myself and embrace this whole idea of positive mind setting.

For all of my fashion forward divas out there, i’m seeing the trend of flannels and long sweaters.. maybe with a nice combat boot or riding boot. A nice caramel boot never killed anyone right? i dig flannels, but its all in how you wear them. Youll probably see me in some cliche leggings but with a nice chic sweater and a pair of boots this season.. or a nice pair of dark skinny jeans with a heel boot. adding a lot of orange, brown, and black to this cozy season. Of course, my ever so favorite… chocolate brown nail polish to add that touch of urban style. Getting rid of the pink nail polish, flowy pastel shirts, and of course..WHITE PANTS. save that for Easter honey. Ill even add darker eyes shadow.. more browns for my blue eyes. For the men, nice dress shirt with a light sweater over it.. will bring all of women to the yard. I love a good solid dress shirt with a bold sweater color over it. Yes sweater vest, im talking to you too. For example, maybe a white dress shirt with a orange light sweater…a nice bold color. With dark colored jeans and dress shoes… always a good look for anywhere ( a hot date *cough cough*)… dont be chicken to wear a sweater..chicks dig it. Ill post style pics later on for your fashion eye.

Until next time,

Stephanie
